The Monday fugly edition

What's the start of week without a hideously dress celebrity - yet again! Here's Rituparna Sengupta in a clingy cut-out aplique gown of which nothing works and she adds to the misery by carrying that tacky clutch. My regular readers by now would know that I do appreciate a fine bag or a nice pair of shoes a la Carrie Bradshaw - and this one's a definite no no!

From off the runway with Rituparna we now move on the runway at the IITC fashion show where an outfit (for the lack of a better word) heavily inspired by Bjork's "memorable for the wrong reasons" frock was showcased.

Perhaps dressing disastrously was the theme and the dress code for the show!

Known for their attention to detail Anjalee and Arjun have dressed the who's who of B-town from Lara Dutta to Minnisha Lamba and Deepika Padukone to name a few. You can check out their website here.

Keeping it cool in white

Another family who went colour coordinated were the Bachchans who stepped out together to cast their votes. Loving Aishwarya's white blouse, teamed with the denims and her kolhapuri wedges. I'm still not quite sure where Abhishek's headed with the clean shaved look but do like his latest tee as much as this other one.

From fab to drab

Just when I was starting to develop a new found respect for Amrita Rao when I saw her chic ensemble at the Amara store preview she does a 180 on me when she steps out at the Mumbai elections. Not that I expected her to be all dolled up or anything but seriously just exactly who in the world would have a wardrobe comprising of red cargos and a kiddies wear zipper hoodie in this day and age!

Fashion at the elections

Even the scorching heat of Mumbai didn't deter fashionista Sonam Kapoor from putting her best fashion foot forward when stepping out to cast her vote. Sporting the red Rayban wayfarers which are also a favourite on the Hollywood circuit (check out Rachel Bilson below rocking them) Sonam teamed her black tights with flat gladiator sandals, a statement spotted scarf dress layered with a long cardigan.
