I love the sari, the colour and the mandarin collar style halter blouse but Genelia D'Souza kinda wrecks it with the leather belt. Some points you get Genelia for trying to be experimental but surely looking at the mirror should have made you realise that it ain't working and the belt needs to be ditched. I also have a feeling she's wearing Ritu Kumar.

In Tarun Tahiliani
Update - It is indeed a Tarun Tahiliani that Genelia wore to the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 09 pageant and not Ritu Kumar as I initially thought. Thanks 'anonymous' for the ID. I still mantain that the belt isn't required but does add a bit of intrigue; the model definitely wears it better snug than how it sits a tad bit loose on Genelia.

Love the mandarin collar.. Agree with you on the belt.
it isn't ritu kumar...she's wearing tarun tahliani..his version also had the belt.
Thanks Anon - the colour scheme and to an extent the detailing had me thinking that its very Ritu Kumar. I'll look around to see if I can find a picture of the Tarun Tahiliani creation.
theres a picture under his facebook group :)
thanks the post has been updated, thanks to you :)
I still think the belt isn't required... ...if still in a mood to accessorize, I think a nice, ethnic looking kamarbandh would be nice... ... even though this saree is very rich on its own!
