Sushmita Sen for Sanjana Jon

Sushmita Sen along with her brother Rajiv Sen walked the ramp for Sanjana Jon at India Fashion Week. Sanjana for those who may not know (like me until I googled her) is the sister of Indian born fashion designer Anand Jon who was recently convicted in the US. Whilst Sush and Salman who was the other celebrity to walk for her did generate a lot of interest in the show, her collection has received a lot of flak about which you can read here.

Back to Sushmita, the woman's got a fantastic body which she flaunts in a stock standard black strapless dress.

On Day 1 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Tarun Tahiliani presented a "same old same old" collection featuring belted sarees (like the one we have seen Genelia don before) and the vested anarkali suits mixed with some dresses.

Ranbir Kapoor for Karan Johar

Natasha Poonawalla is back in fab shape post baby and shows it off in skinny leather pants teamed with a very on trend exaggerated one-shoulder houndstooth print Alexander McQueen top at the HDIL Couture Week. Leather too still continues to be huge so if you are in the market for a pair of skinny pants like Natasha check out the options at Shopbop who offer free worldwide shipping. Whilst the options I'm suggesting are not on the budget friendly side but when it comes to leather its all about quality as the cheaper versions end up looking quite tacky.

An ode to 'Blue'

The lead star of newly released movie 'Blue' Akshay Kumar and his very fashionable wife Twinkle Khanna chose to dress in blue hues as an ode to the movie perhaps for the premiere at Middle Eastern International Film Festival in Abu Dhabi. Akshay wore a Gucci suit with Versace shoes and Twinkle went traditional in a simple but stylish saree by Laila Motwani. I can't say enough on how much I love this woman's fashion sense and wish she would make a return to the big screen.

In Manish Malhotra

Designer Manish Malhotra's celeb clientele were in full attendance at his show at HDIL Couture Week with loved up couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan even taking to the runway. Of the attendees my favourite look has to be of Sridevi - simple and elegant and the least favourite was Kajol as the colour of the kurta, the ill-fitted churidaar and hideous footwear totally killed it for me.

What's not to love about Twinkle Khanna's super chic ensemble at the 'Being Human' show at HDIL Couture Week. Love the red and the silhoutte of the dress which is cinched in with the perfect statement belt. The accessories are to die for and the makeup is flawless.

Jewellery designer Farah Khan commissioned designers Gauri-Nainika to design outfits to go with her jewellery show on the opening night of the HDIL Couture Week. Farah, sister Suzanne Roshan Khan and Genelia D'Souza all took to the runway wearing Gauri-Nainika dresses.

Ace stylist Anaita Adajania needs a style makeover pronto. Wearing what looks like an unflattering Gauri Nainika Rosette one shouldered top from the designer duo's latest collection with slashed jeans (again not the best of fits) Anaita's look seems like an attempt to embrace all the latest runway trends but falls flat as the look just isn't working for her. Sporting a new hair do Preity Zinta stepped out in a 'Being Human' mini dress teamed with a Zagliani clutch and the sandals that I have been lusting over for a few weeks now - Christian Louboutin Differa Sandals. The dress is a little bit short for my liking but I'm loving the hair do and the sandals I so want RIGHT NOW!!

Yet another edgy cover from the stables of Grazia, with the latest cover girl being Kareena Kapoor dressed in a sculpted Balmain-sque jacket with a mini.

Joining the Birkin brigade is Ms.Padukone who carried her's to a 'Love Aaj Kal' promo event. Dressed down in a white shirt, jeans and loafers it seems her co-star Saif Ali Khan's style sense has rubbed off on her as the two looked very much in sync in their casual avatars. Feeling stripey

The metallic striped number that Kim Sharma wore to a recent movie music launch falls flat for me. Zebra stripes similar to leopard print is a challenging pattern to get right and this dress certainly doesn't fall in the "right" category. If anything the stripes going everywhere have a dizzying effect (and not in a good way!) and my pet pet peeve - yet another celeb wearing a non-impressive pair of sandals!

Leading the fash pack at Louis Vuitton

Leading a bevy of celebs at the Louis Vuitton pret-a-porter show at Paris Fashion Week was Freida Pinto dressed in but of course a Louis Vuitton head to toe ensemble from the Fall 09 collection. In terms of colours I prefer to the runway green to the cobalt blue but having said that Freida's dress nicely contrasts against the bag. Love love love the shoes.

In Nishka Lulla

At designer Nishka Lulla's fashion preview event, the celeb in attendance Amisha Patel aptly wore a Nishka Lulla creation fresh off the runway from Lakme Fashion Week. Like the runway she wore her girly strapless dress with silver sandals which I don't like at all. Amisha's bag is a Louis Vuitton Watercolore speedy.
