One of the most talked about weddings of the year is that of Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra who got married yesterday. The bride wore a Tarun Tahiliani saree and Raj went for a sherwani designed by Shantanu-Nikhil. Here's wishing them a fab married life ahead.

In Monisha Jaising
The top two female stars in attendance at the Cosmopolitan Awards were dressed by Monisha Jaising. The designer chose outfits from her latest collection that she showcased at the HDIL Couture Week. When it comes to dresses I get swayed towards interesting prints in fabrics that feel divine and cut fabulously so generally speaking I tend to stay away from heavy embellishments, sequins etc. But I'm doing a 180 as I totally totally heart Katrina's outfit. As for Ms. Padukone between the fabric and the cut outs its probably the least body forgiving gown one can wear but what has she got to worry about with that fabulous body for hers! It's not the best colour for her as it makes her look ashy.

Calling all stylists
What's with gorgeous women having no sense of fashion what so ever! Can someone explain to me why would Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dress as if she ready to gallop away on a horse when all that she's required to do is launch a product! She could've ditched the boots and just teamed her blazer with a more flattering pair of pants with the right shoes to have turned this debacle into an okay ensemble.

For the chic files
I love the simplicity of Twinkle Khanna's timeless churidaar teamed with neutral accessories which included her signature oversized clutch. Love. You?

In Rajat Tangri
Spotted Amrita Rao in a Rajat Tangri dress at the cover launch of 'The Man' magazine. I much prefer the way the model wears the dress hitched up to highlight the draping at the front as compared to Amrita on whom the dress hangs loose on the bottom half. Nevertheless this appearance of Amrita's is much better than a lot of outfits we've seen on her before.
A bit of trivia about Rajat - he actually studied Fashion Designing in Melbourne and we worked at the same telemarketing firm back in the good old uni days! Great to see him doing well and making a name for himself on the Bollywood circuit. Rajat's designs are also stocked at Noir Desire boutique situated on Chapel Street in Melbourne.

In Sync or Not?
Spotted Katrina Kaif and Ramesh Taurani's daughter wearing the same dress at the 'Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani' success bash. I fail two understand why two grown women would do this! As kids my mum would dress me and my little sister alike; many a photos are a testament to this. But I don't kinda see the logic here. Anyone?

In Christian Dior
Priyanka Chopra wore a divine gown from Christian Dior's Fall'09 collection which is ruined yet again by those hideous blue streaks. You can check out more of the collection here.

In Gauri-Nainika
Spotted on Pooja Bedi a black Gauri-Nainika lattice gown at the Teacher's Achievement Awards. Mughda Godse has previously walked at the Kolkata Fashion Week wearing a strapless version in green. Got a favourite between the two styles?

A blue streak
I hate the blue streak which takes away all effort Piggy Chops had put into her formal ensemble at a charity dinner recently. The emerald jewelled detail takes the classic LBD a notch higher but I just can't help going back to the streak which totally ruins everything.

Poll it
Check out two of Preity's latest public appearances to make a call on the look that you liker her more in.
Preity Zinta made an appearance on the closing night of the Mumbai Film Festival dressed in a striking red angrakha suit that she teamed with bronze accessories (Chanel bag and Guiseppe Zanotti sandals) and at a Human Trafficking NGO event she went in a pencil skirt suit teamed with patent black Louboutins. Both outfits were very apt for the occasions that she chose to wear them to but if I had to choose my vote goes to the skirt suit as I love the idea of a half sleeve jacket for summers.

In Valentino
Freida Pinto attended the 18th BAFTA Brittania Awards in California wearing a two-tone Valentino dress from the Spring 2010 collection. I actually prefer the all nude runway version to the one that Freida's wearing. Being the sucker that I'm for dramatic shoes I love the sandals the model's got on. Back to Freida, she completed the look with black sandals, minimal make-up and pulled back hair - overall a very chic look!

Lack lusture
Both Mughda Godse and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan failed to impress me in "frocks" they put on at their latest public appearances. Aishwarya's reminded me so much of the number that she wore at the IIFAs (funnily enough I had titled that post Lack lusture as well). I don't like the cut, fabric or the colour on her one bit. With Mughda she's chosen a style that just makes her look bulky and why would a woman with a fab body want to do that to herself. Again the colour isn't doing her any favours either.

In a phase
Katrina Kaif seems to be impersonating her character from her upcoming movie 'Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani' at the promo events - headband, cartoon tees and the same denim three quarters and white flats. The Minnie Mouse tee is cute but overall the look doesn't do much for me.I somehow have a feeling these looks have more to do with the movie's PR team rather than Kat's own style.

On Reader Request: Preity Zinta in Manish Malhotra
I had a reader request to ID Preity's fab shift dress that she wore to Karan Johar's show at HDIL Couture Week. Well, your wish is my command :)
It is a Manish Malhotra creation which is fabulously complimented by perfect makeup and hair. Another great look from the fashion stables of Ms. Zinta.
