One of the most talked about weddings of the year is that of Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra who got married yesterday. The bride wore a Tarun Tahiliani saree and Raj went for a sherwani designed by Shantanu-Nikhil. Here's wishing them a fab married life ahead.

Will we ever see the demise of this worn to death infamous Shantanu-Nikhil dress? As much as I want the answer to this question to be a resounding yes; Neha Dhupia's appearance at the Samsung washing machine launch negates it. You can catch Deepika Padukone wearing the same here.

In Shantanu-Nikhil

This is the first pic released of Sania Mirza's engagement to long time friend Mohammed Sohrah Mirza so I'll update the post as more pics surface. For the engagement ceremony yesterday Sania Mirza wore an emerald and gold Swarovski studded lehenga by designer duo Shantanu-Nikhil. Elle Cover Girl: Sonam Kapoor

A very heavily photoshopped Sonam Kapoor appears on the cover of the latest issue of Elle India. The white Shantanu-Nikhil gown against the ocean blue background works really well but I'm beyond shock looking at Sonam's technology altered face; would've been best leaving her as she is.

The suit version of the Shantanu Nikhil lehenga that Deepika Padukone wore to the New York premiere of CC2C fares a tad bit better for me as seen on Malaika Arora Khan at Amrita Arora's mehendi function. Just not sure about Malaika's choice of Gucci-sque flats.

Cost saving in times of recession

Bollywood celeb mags Jade (Nov 08) and Cineblitz (Jan 09) shared a photo shoot and almost identical pics of Deepika Padukone for their cover shots (thanks Bollywood Fashion Police for covering). And yes, its the same Shantanu-Nikhil lehenga that Deepika wore to the Toronto premiere of Chandni Chowk to China. The film bombed but glad to see that Deepika got the worth out of her designer lehenga by recycling it umpteen times.

In Shantanu-Nikhil again

When you like something you buy one in every colour seems to be Neha Dhupia's style mantra. She wore the same Shantanu-Nikhil maxi dress in red at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. Now she dons it in pink at the 'Helios' store launch in Bangalore - what colour do you think the dress looks best in?

At the Nokia 15th Annual Star Screen Awards both Tabu and Hard Kaur were wearing grecian style one shouldered floor length gowns thankfully in different hues of blue. Hard Kaur is a signature Shantanu-Nikhil creation, Aishwarya was seen wearing a similiar style in lemon last year. Pick your favourite between the two.

Shantanu-Nikhil again!

The one dress that I wasn't hoping to see in the new year was this worn to death Shantanu-Nikhil number. Deepika Padukone owns two of these, go figure it out as to why she would! I'm over the dress and definitely not digging the teaming with footless lace tights, hideous sandals and a bindi!

Are we officially over this dress?

The infamous Shantanu Nikhil dress is now seen on Perizad Zorabian at the Nikhil Shantanu show at Lakme Fashion week. As beautiful as it is I think I'm done with seeing this one.

Mass produced dress of the year

Although we are still a few months away from year end it is safe to assume that the award for the most worn dress of the year will indisputably go to this Shantanu-Nikhil number. Previously seen on Kareena, Katrina, Neha and most recently on Deepika Padukone.

Deepika Padukone gets it right

After being seen in a lot of casually put together less then ordinary outfits when promoting Bachna Ae Haseeno, Deepika finally gets it right in this divine Shantanu-Nikhil dress. Because she looks so fab on it we're willing to forget that the dress has already been on numerous starlets before Deepika! The colouring, fit and length is absolutely prefect! We totally love!!
