Of Amrita Arora's wedding gown

With Amrita Arora's wedding round the corner, designer Ashley Rebello speaks to Rediff and describes Amrita's gown as "as an off-white vintage wedding gown for Amrita. It gives a very old world charm. It's very beautiful and delicate. The fabric is Umelio Ungaro lace and satin, with a high neck. It's a body-fitting gown, embellished with diamonds and rice pearls. It leaves a trail behind"

The bridesmaids which include bestie Kareena Kapoor, sister Malaika Arora Khan, Salman Khan's sister Alvira and another friend Mallika will all wear floor length vintage inspired gowns in different hues of peach embellished with copper diamonds!!

We'll have to wait and see who steals the show - predictably my bets are on Kareena.

Arora sisters go traditional

So refreshing to see Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora Khan in traditional avatars; but then again the occassion called for it as it was Amrita's sangeet night. Amrita's lehenga was designed by Rick Roy; I don't love it but I quite like it as its not over the top. Malaika's suit is nice too and the colours look fantastic on her.
