Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Rao along with Shekhar Suman are hosts of a new TV show 'The Perfect Bride'. All will be ok provided the contestants don't look at Amrita for inspiration! I'm at a bit of a loss for words as I can't figure why someone would wear something this bizarre which looks like Indian Barbie gone wrong!

Spotted Neha Dhupia at the 'Puro' launch in a Shantanu-Nikhil suit which had the same cut and work as Malaika Arora's suit at sister Amrita's mehendi function. A lehenga version of the same has also been seen on Deepika Padukone. Your thoughts on Neha's look?

The Bebe maxi that we spotted earlier on Malaika Arora Khan is now seen on Chez Shetty at Satish Kaushik's party. The Bebe fascination in B-Town continues..

Of tie-up sandals

Whilst Malaika Arora Khan wore her's in braided gold, Isha Koppikar teamed her LBD with silver tie-up sandals (best not to talk about her tacky black bag!). Isha definitely fails to impress and if I have to compare the two I do prefer the version Malaika's got on although I'm not totally digging those either. Your thoughts?

Feathered up

At the Lakme Spa, Malaika Arora Khan decided to team her statement dress with statement feather sandals in an attempt to channel Carrie Bradshaw from SATC. As much as the feathering wasn't required with a dress like this Malaika somehow does pull it off. On the subject of statement sandals I'm currently lusting after the Christian Louboutin petal sandals which you can check out at Bergdorf Goodman. Lets hope they go on sale soon ;p

A Herve-Leger face-off

Rhea Kapoor (Sonam Kapoor's younger sister) wore it first at the Slumdog Millionaire premiere in Dubai in black and white. Malaika Arora Khan opted for the white and blue combo in this Herve Leger bandage dress at the Mai Mumbai charity event after party.

Malaika was resplendent in a Versace floor length gown from the designer's Resort 09 collection. She finished of her look with silver Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

Deepika Padukone in Carolina Herrera

Deepika channeled old school glamour in a gold Carolina Herrera gown. I couldn't find a photo of this gown in any of the runway shows but if someone does please let me know and I'll update the post

The BCBGMAXAZRIA Centurion Satin Mini Dress is certainly quite popular on the bollywood circuit. We've seen the same on Farah Khan in red and now Malaika Arora Khan wears hers in a light pink hue at Sistema Teleservices new brand launch. This is an extremely predictable typical Malaika look so I won't call it fab but yes like most things she wears it well. The dress can be purchased through Saks.

The sarees that they wore

Net and lace seems to be the latest fad in saree world and after spotting the trend on Katrina, we see it on Sophie Chaudhary, Neha Dhupia and Malaika Arora Khan at Amrita Arora's nikaah/ reception party. Here's a dekho at some of the celebs in attendance at the event

Malaika Arora Khan

Sister Malaika after being seen in a Ashley Rebello maxi gown for bridesmaid duty, a Shantanu-Nikhil suit for the sangeet and a very red lehenga for the wedding bash now opts for a beige net saree for the nikaah ceremony/reception. Interesting use of sindoor as an accessory as this is the first time I've seen her sindoor clad. Saree looks great and I love the baby pink stone danglers.

Preity Jhangiani

Preity opted for a sunny yellow saree teamed with a strapless blouse. It's not a colour that you see often and I think the saree works, but she could've have done away with the purse. Colour coordinating with the accessories just wasn't required.

Neha Dhupia

Neha went for a lace saree in green. I thought this look was strictly ok as there was nothing stand out about the saree or the blouse style.

Sophie Chaudhary

Nice seeing Sophie in a saree. I like the colour combo of this lace net saree.

Which one's the bride?

Looking at these pics anyone can easily mistake Malaika Arora Khan as the bride rather than sis Amrita due to her immensely red outfit. Whilst both sisters carry off their looks well, Amrita albeit a bit more understated of the two. Shakeel looks dapper in black and Arbaaz goes classic white which suits him well.

In Shantanu-Nikhil

The suit version of the Shantanu Nikhil lehenga that Deepika Padukone wore to the New York premiere of CC2C fares a tad bit better for me as seen on Malaika Arora Khan at Amrita Arora's mehendi function. Just not sure about Malaika's choice of Gucci-sque flats.

Here are the bridesmaids in gowns by Ashley Rebello in varying hues of peach and the flower girl in pink. As predicted I think Kareena outshines everyone followed closely by Malaika Arora Khan.

Of Amrita Arora's wedding gown

With Amrita Arora's wedding round the corner, designer Ashley Rebello speaks to Rediff and describes Amrita's gown as "as an off-white vintage wedding gown for Amrita. It gives a very old world charm. It's very beautiful and delicate. The fabric is Umelio Ungaro lace and satin, with a high neck. It's a body-fitting gown, embellished with diamonds and rice pearls. It leaves a trail behind"

The bridesmaids which include bestie Kareena Kapoor, sister Malaika Arora Khan, Salman Khan's sister Alvira and another friend Mallika will all wear floor length vintage inspired gowns in different hues of peach embellished with copper diamonds!!

We'll have to wait and see who steals the show - predictably my bets are on Kareena.

Arora sisters go traditional

So refreshing to see Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora Khan in traditional avatars; but then again the occassion called for it as it was Amrita's sangeet night. Amrita's lehenga was designed by Rick Roy; I don't love it but I quite like it as its not over the top. Malaika's suit is nice too and the colours look fantastic on her. Do you have a favourite from these looks?

In Sky

Not literally but in a Sky-sque dress I spotted Malaika Arora Khan at Queenie's jewels store launch. The dress is reminiscent of the yellow leather corseted number that Priyanka Chopra wore in the 'Khabar nahin' song from Dostana. I loved the yellow on Priyanka accentuated with the leather corset detail. Not too sure about Malaika's though - the leather replaced by plastic cheapens the dress and surprisingly the queen of itsy bitsy dresses doesn't seem to carry this off to well - the fit just isn't flattering on her.

Sorry I couldn't find a mannequined picture of the dress as its an older and quite a popular style but a pre-loved version is available for sale on eBay.

Covered up

Update - Thanks 'anonymous' for letting us know that Malaika's maxi is by Bebe - not suprised as she's been seen in the chain store's creations on many occassions before. Found the dress in purple on ebay. What colour do you prefer it more in?

After some very questionable outfits recently (check them here and here) Malaika gets slight redemption in this maxi dress at a photoshoot. I have seen this dress before but can't remember the designer - as soon as I remember I'll update the post with details.

Amrita Arora hands down was much better dressed of the siblings at the 09 FHM Style Icon Awards. Everything about Malaika spells 'SUPER TACKY'.

The less said about this disastrous outfit of Malaika Arora Khan at the FLY Mobile launch the better it is. If I was you Ms. Khan I'd be FLYing home right away to put some decent gear on! Source

Sush most stylish says Cosmo

Cosmopolitan India have done a feature in their Jan 09 edition ranking Bollywood's top 20 stylish women. Bit surprised to see Sushmita Sen topping the charts! Whilst I'm a big Sush fan and back in the days of the Sush / Aish debate around who was more worthy of the Miss India and subsequently the Miss Universe title; I believed and still do that Sush was the perfect choice. On the flip side though I don't think currently she's the reigning style queen and the photo definitely isn't one of her latest or perhaps another photoshop wonder! Following Sush on the countdown were Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor respectively in that order. Do you think Sushmita Sen is worthy of the title? If not, who's your pick?
