From Priyanka Chopra to Liz Hurley

The Salvatore Ferragamo gown that Priyank Chopra wore in the March 09 issue of L'Officiel India and then later at the 'Next Gen Asia' launch with the matching bean clutch from the designer (check it out here) now makes it way on Elizabeth Hurley at 'The Caudwell Children Butterfly Ball' at Battersea Evolution. Liz paired the gown with a silver envelope clutch.

From photoshoot to 'Next Gen Asia Launch reception'

The title of the post takes inspiration from one of my favourite blogs - Red Carpet Fashion Awards and it perfectly sums up how Priyanka Chopra wore the same Salvatore Ferragamo gown to the Next Gen Asia Launch reception that she's already worn in the recent L'Officiel magazine spread. She wears the dress exactly how it was showcased on the runway with the bean shaped clutch; and carries it off well.

More Ferragamo

Update - L'Officiel March 09 issue cover picture added

Whilst I wait for a scan of the L'Officiel mag cover, you can see the blown-up version of it behind Priyanka Chopra at the magazine inaugration event. She graces the cover in a Salvatore Ferragamo creation and looks like the inside spread will probably turn out to be all Ferragamo as well. You can check out one of the looks from the inside spread here. I'm loving the big hair but the size of her thighs worries me. I hope its a case of excessive photoshopping and not malnutrition.

I'll give you my two bits - be a fashion lover and not a fashion victim. Size zeros, the double size zeroes and the triples and so on are not cool and I hope the wrong inspiration is not taken from this cover.

In the latest issue of L'Officiel India Priyanka Chopra features in a Salvatore Ferragamo gown from the designer's Spring 09 RTW collection. I'll add more magazine scans and the cover as they emerge online.

Elle India Feb edition

Whilst the cover featured model Tamara Moss in a Salvatore Ferragamo jumpsuit, there is an inside spread with Genelia D'Souza dressed in Chanel.

Tamara Moss also featured in the 09 Kingfisher calendar and the dress that Genelia's wearing is from Chanel's current resort collection with the same plastic detail that was seen on Freida's dress at the Elle Style Awards.
