Front row at Chanel: Freida Pinto

Just to take some of my envy pangs away someone please tell me that all frocks she's worn to date were "borrowed and duly returned" otherwise I can't tell you how much I would love to raid her wardrobe especially for this monochromatic Chanel ensemble.

Such is life that Freida Pinto made an appearance at the Chanel 09/10 Fall-Winter RTW show at Paris Fashion Week. She was dressed head to toe Chanel in a beautiful white dress, a signature Chanel statement brooch necklace and a satin clutch.

First in B-town to be dressed by Chanel

Yes you heard it right. According to Sonam Kapoor she's the first celebrity in Bollywood to be dressed by Chanel i.e. didn't have to dish out the dough for her white Chanel gown that she wore to the Filmfare awards. According to Sonam, after seeing her Verve and Elle mag covers Chanel voluntarily sent her not one but three gowns to choose from for the Filmfare Awards. You can read the rest of the article here.

Mixing it up

After being seen in a string of ethnic Sabyasachi ensembles fashionista Sonam Kapoor mixes it up with her lady like polka dotted dress coupled with a quilted Chanel at the Dubai premiere of Delhi-6 and then opting for a ethnic ensemble for the film's premiere in Delhi (haven't been able to find a full length pic as yet but will keep looking) accessorised with a parandi et al. Whilst I love the parandi the outfit just seems a bit gaudy and mature.

Elle India Feb edition

Whilst the cover featured model Tamara Moss in a Salvatore Ferragamo jumpsuit, there is an inside spread with Genelia D'Souza dressed in Chanel.

Tamara Moss also featured in the 09 Kingfisher calendar and the dress that Genelia's wearing is from Chanel's current resort collection with the same plastic detail that was seen on Freida's dress at the Elle Style Awards.

In Chanel again

After donning Chanel at the BAFTA Nominees Party, Freida Pinto opts for Chanel again at the Elle Style Awards, this time from the current Resort collection. Thanks 'fashionista' from 'Pinkvilla' for ID'ing the dress.

Whilst the signature Chanel camellias on the dress are a bit over powering I love the swept up hair and the cut-out booties.

And yes, congratulations for winning the style award Freida!

Freida and Dev at the BAFTA Nominees Party

Freida Pinto and Dev Patel were both present at the BAFTA Nominees Party. Freida went for a black frock by Chanel from the Spring 08 couture collection (thanks HHC for ID'ing) and yes its the peep toes again for her choice of footwear. The cape feature of the dress was a teeny weeny bit loose so doesn't look as if its sitting right but apart from that the dress fits her like a glove. Karl Lagerfield is famously known for dressing only a select few celebrities so the girl should be proud that she's made it to the list so quick!

Dev's suit was okay (but how much can men experiment really to be fair to him!). He was accompanied by mommy dearest.

Couldn't resist posting this one due to my love for this Chanel classic.

Seen here is Preity out and about in LA during the Unforgettable tour flaunting my favourite classic Chanel quilted handbag. Not too sure about the outfit though with the safari style shirt and the ill fitted skirt! Chanel truly saves the day!
