In Shantanu-Nikhil
The suit version of the Shantanu Nikhil lehenga that Deepika Padukone wore to the New York premiere of CC2C fares a tad bit better for me as seen on Malaika Arora Khan at Amrita Arora's mehendi function. Just not sure about Malaika's choice of Gucci-sque flats.

From premiere to runway
Normally you see runway creations making their way to red carpets but not the case with the top Bollywood actors. Deepika Padukone wore the same Manish Malhotra blouse for the Chandni Chowk to China screening at Warner Bros. Studios in California before it made its way to the runway at FICCI. I didn't like the blouse one bit when I saw it on Deepika but if I had to choose I reckon Gauhar Khan carries it off much better and I like the runway saree better than the premiere version too. Your thoughts?

A green-off
Both these women have impeccable fashion sense and ofcourse lots of moolah to don the latest designer creations of the international runways and lust worthy clutch collections. Rarely seen in ethnic ensembles seeing both Anu Deewan and Twinkle Khanna in churidaars in green hues makes it all face-off worthy.
Who's look inspires you more - Anu with her Bottega or Twinkle with her Zagliani clutch?

Cost saving in times of recession
Bollywood celeb mags Jade (Nov 08) and Cineblitz (Jan 09) shared a photo shoot and almost identical pics of Deepika Padukone for their cover shots (thanks Bollywood Fashion Police for covering). And yes, its the same Shantanu-Nikhil lehenga that Deepika wore to the Toronto premiere of Chandni Chowk to China. The film bombed but glad to see that Deepika got the worth out of her designer lehenga by recycling it umpteen times.

Going white
Can I just say how glad I am that its not another lehenga! Deepika Padukone joins the list of celebs who opt for an all white ensemble at a CC2C promo.
Of Deepika, Vidya and Priyanka who do you think has this look pat down?
It's Gucci now
He's worn the limited edition smoking hot Louis Vuitton silver loafers and now dons Gucci slip-ons when promoting his film Chandni Chowk to China. Just one of the many perks of the fab life of Akshay Kumar.

Amitabh Bachchan at the Chandni Chowk to China premiere
Here are some pics of Amitabh Bachchan at the Chandni Chowk to China premiere in London. For those of you who are avid readers of his blog like me must've noticed that he's changed the header image with some of his photos from yesteryears. I'm a huge fan and get super excited every time I blog about him!
Deepika Padukone in Tarun Tahiliani
For the Chandni Chowk to China premiere at Leicester Square in Central London, Deepika Padukone opted for a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga (which has also been seen on Victoria Beckham in the Vogue India Nov 08 issue). The fur cape looks straight off J J Vallaya's runway at HDIL couture week

Scarfed man candy
Akshay Kumar pioneered the trend of male scarf accessorising in Bollywood and now Shahrukh's been seen with one draped around his neck at the Golden Globe rehearsels (can't wait to see him in a Tux at the Golden Globes tonight!). Akshay brought out his McQueen scarf again when promoting CC2C in New York aptly on top of a taxi. How do you think rocks this look better?

Twinkle twinkles
Love love love Twinkle Khanna's pistachio and gold churidaar she wore to the Toronto premiere of Chandni Chowk to China. I love it so much that have decided to get one made just like this for me:)
Liking Akki's suit too!

Deepika gets it right in Toronto
Finally Deepika Padukone gets it right at the Toronto premiere of Chandni Chowk to China in a black and gold Shantanu and Nikhil lehenga. Practice does make one perfect - the lehenga has already had a trial run last year when Deepika hosted India Day celebrations in the US.

Chandni Chowk to China Round 2
Deepika Padukone fails to impress again at the New York premiere of Chandni Chowk to China in the garrish lehenga. The cut of the blouse is interesting but overall its a dud. Your thoughts?

Chandni Chowk to California
Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone kick off the Chandni Chowk to Chine premiere junket with a special film screening at the Warner Bros. Studio in California.
Akki is my favourite male fashionista and I'm a bit disappointed with his choice as the white suit is reminiscent of 80s cinema with Jitender in the lead! The shoes are ok. Deepika seems to be wearing a stock standard Manish Malhotra saree but the blouse is absolutely hideous.
Twinkle Khanna looks radiant in a powder pink saree which is a refreshing change from her trademark tiered dresses so I'm willing to overlook the mismatched oversized clutch she's teamed with the saree.
Hopefully we'll get to see the flick's lead pair up the ante in the style stakes over the rest of the tour.

Oriental influences
Both Deepika Padukone and Mughda Godse were seen in outfits with a strong oriental influence. Kudos to Deepika for pulling off this cape like dress and actually make it look quite ethereal - keep the make up minimal and hair simple. Mughda's outfit on the other hand is not doing much for me.
