Overwhelming

I'm all for man style wide leg pants but the jacket is so overbearing and such a let down. Know its cold and all in Paris (where she's promoting Pink Panther 2) but surely for the shutterbugs Aishwarya Rai could've taken off the velvet monster so we could've checked out the rest of the ensemble hiding underneath!

Elle India Feb edition

Whilst the cover featured model Tamara Moss in a Salvatore Ferragamo jumpsuit, there is an inside spread with Genelia D'Souza dressed in Chanel.

Tamara Moss also featured in the 09 Kingfisher calendar and the dress that Genelia's wearing is from Chanel's current resort collection with the same plastic detail that was seen on Freida's dress at the Elle Style Awards.

In Chanel again

After donning Chanel at the BAFTA Nominees Party, Freida Pinto opts for Chanel again at the Elle Style Awards, this time from the current Resort collection. Thanks 'fashionista' from 'Pinkvilla' for ID'ing the dress.

Whilst the signature Chanel camellias on the dress are a bit over powering I love the swept up hair and the cut-out booties.

And yes, congratulations for winning the style award Freida!

Balenciaga spotting

I love love love all things Balenciaga so obviously couldn't contain my excitement when I saw Sonam Kapoor carry the Balenciaga envelope clutch. Check out the Balenciaga site to see this year's version of the envelope clutch which I absolutely love too. After oohing and aahing over the clutch I did check out Sonam's ensemble which is super cute too! By far the only Indian celeb who dares to be a bit different with her fashion choices.

The bag picture in the post is the colour that I own the clutch in. Have a preference between the purple and the caramel?

Leiber spotting

I posted about the Judith Leiber Ganesha clutch last year and who better to break it in on the desi socialite circuit than Natasha Poonawala. Last time I checked this was on back order at Neiman Marcus (yes, even at over USD$5500 a pop!)
