A First!

Following on from the news that I shared on my blog last month, we finally see for the first time ever Shahrukh Khan and wife Gauri take to the runway together for bestie Karan Johar's debut collection at HDIL Couture Week.

In Herve Leger

Hindustan Times recently got a sneak peak into Gauri and Shahrukh Khan's world through their newly launched feature on Power Couples of Bollywood. The family posed for photos in their 7-storey mansion 'Mannat' all dressed in black. Gauri (no surprises!) chose a body con Herve Leger number. You can read the couple's interview for HT here.

Same same for Gauri and print share with Sush

After Preity Zinta and Mehr Jessia, Gauri Khan indulges in a bit of wardrobe recycling by wearing the maxi to Karim Torani's 50th birthday celebrations that she's previously worn to Farah Khan's lingerie show in November last year.

Coincidentally Sushmita Sen who was invited on day 2 of the celebrations (day 1 was reserved for Shahrukh's friends only!) also wore the same print in a shorter avatar.

I don't like it either way as a print like this is worthy of a bit of vibrancy rathern than the dull color combo featured in these dresses.

Gauri Khan opted for a Missoni kaftan style dress to attend Amrita Arora's wedding. I love the zig-zaggy signature Missoni patern and the billowy sleeves and the length. The make-up is not to my liking but I think overall this one goes in the chic files.

The lady in the background on the right is wearing Emilio Pucci. Does anyone know who that is?

Gauri Khan & Karan Johar at Golden Globes

Whilst I didn't spot them on the red carpet when I watching the Golden Globes last night (yes, we don't get to see them live in Australia!)here's a pic of Gauri Khan and Karan Johar accompanying Shahrukh Khan to the Globes. Gauri was resplendent in a white sequinned saree and a Judith Leiber clutch. Struggling to understand exactly what Karan Johar was doing there? If he was acting stylist for King Khan, it certainly didn't work as the suit didn't fit him well at all and the sequinned tie was "not very nice" to put it mildly. Khan on stage didn't impress me either - bring on Amitabh!!!
