How not to dress

Classic example of excessive bling gone wrong. It pains even more when you see it on a designer!

Victoria Beckham for Vogue India

Its none other than Posh Spice ( I still like to call her that as I was a huge Spice Girls fan in the good old days, no judgement please!) gracing the cover of the November edition of Vogue India. Saying that Victoria is experimental with her looks is a bit of an understatement with her most recent escapade being seen in heelless boots. Back to the cover though - I'm loving her in a sari with the bridal jewellery, what about you? Source

Are we officially over this dress?

The infamous Shantanu Nikhil dress is now seen on Perizad Zorabian at the Nikhil Shantanu show at Lakme Fashion week. As beautiful as it is I think I'm done with seeing this one.

Manish Malhotra and limelight

Shilpa Shetty seems to have traded fashion camps and instead of Tarun Tahiliani opts for yet another Manish Malhotra outfit at the Dubai club with her beloved Louis Vuitton limelight clutch. This ensemble was a part of Manish's collection at the 08 India Couture Week.
Just another day and another fab outfit in the life of Ms. Shetty!

Chic!

Must have investment pieces for any fashionista's wardrobe - well cut formal pants and a ruffle top!

Karisma Kapoor vs Suchitra Pillai - who do you think carries of this look better? My vote goes hands down to Karisma as the choice of footwear makes it a no-brainer for me. Source

Drool in the name of a good cause

The return of the Sharara

Are Shararas back in vogue? If you by Nisha Merchant's collection at IFW'09 it sure is as modelled by Sweta Salve. What's your verdict on this look?

Riya Sen for Ranna Gill

After Raima it was Riya's turn to go down the runway for designer Ranna Gill. Loving the outfit and the embellished necklace.

Grandeur and Flamboyance

Minnisha Lamba, Farah Khan Ali (Dj Aqeel's wife) and Sameera Reddy walked the runway for Falguni & Shane Peacock at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. A bit "out-there", flamboyant and grand are what I would describe these outfits as.

Here's a dekho at some of the other pieces from the collection.

Fab or drab

Raima Sen walks to the ramp for designers Jason and Anshu on day 2 of the 09 Delhi Fashion Week. It's a drab for me - what about you?

Gauri & Nainika - WLIFW Spring 09

Gauri & Nainika deliver yet another fab collection at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. The super talented designer duo also seem to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's fav Indian designers at the moment. Ash has recently been seen in many a G&N ensembles - the orange strapless gown from the collection is very similar to Ash's black gown at the Longines event and the blue striped gown that you can side ways in the last picture is the same as what Ash wore to the Drona premiere. Only if money grew on trees and I could buy the entire collection! Photo credit - Manish Sharma

Shetty sisters - pick your favourite

Shilpa and Shamita Shetty added glamour to a recent book launch function with mum in tow as usual. Shilpa opted for a divine traditional ensemble and Shamita embodied classic casual in fitted blue jeans and a white jacket. Think they both look great but Shilpa definitely outshined Shamita in her beautiful churidaar and Louis Vuitton gold limelight clutch. She was carrying the same clutch at the Singapore Grand Prix last month. You can borrow the limelight clutch here. Source

Surily Goel - WLIFW Spring 09

I'm a huge Surily Goel fan and whilst some of the pieces look inspired from international runways the silhouettes and the colours she's chosen are prefect for the fashion forward and in sync with the Indian climes. My top two favourites from the collection are the pink tiered dress and the draped blue number. Photo credit: Manish Sharma
