King Khan sports the same fringed checkered scarf that he previously wore to the Golden Globes rehearsals. The sneakers are what else but Gucci!

Gauri Khan & Karan Johar at Golden Globes

Whilst I didn't spot them on the red carpet when I watching the Golden Globes last night (yes, we don't get to see them live in Australia!)here's a pic of Gauri Khan and Karan Johar accompanying Shahrukh Khan to the Globes. Gauri was resplendent in a white sequinned saree and a Judith Leiber clutch. Struggling to understand exactly what Karan Johar was doing there? If he was acting stylist for King Khan, it certainly didn't work as the suit didn't fit him well at all and the sequinned tie was "not very nice" to put it mildly. Khan on stage didn't impress me either - bring on Amitabh!!!

Another update! Slumdog also wins best picture and Danny Boyle takes home the best director award. Truly well deserved

Update! Two awards in the kitty already for Slumdog Millionaire - Simon Beaufoy for best screenplay and Rahman gets one too for best soundtrack - he's the first Indian to get one, I'm ecstatic!!!

Freida Pinto opted for a haute couture Christian Lacroix golden gown and to wear to the 09 Golden Globes. I love the colour of the gown and the ethnic Indian cuffs and earrings but overall the gown isn't working as there is a bit too much draping especially around the neckline.

Glad to see Dev Patel ditch the cardigan for a nice suit and Anil Kapoor is looking nice in a tux as well. Here's wishing the movie wins all the awards that its worthy of, especially A R Rahman for the soundtrack.

Going Indian at the Globes

Brooke Adams and Tony Shalhoub decided to stand out from the crowd at the 09 Golden Globes in Indian wear. Brooke's red lehenga looked like dated bridal wear and I don't think will get her a mention in the best dressed list!

Akshay Kumar pioneered the trend of male scarf accessorising in Bollywood and now Shahrukh's been seen with one draped around his neck at the Golden Globe rehearsels (can't wait to see him in a Tux at the Golden Globes tonight!).
