In Monisha Jaising

The top two female stars in attendance at the Cosmopolitan Awards were dressed by Monisha Jaising. The designer chose outfits from her latest collection that she showcased at the HDIL Couture Week. When it comes to dresses I get swayed towards interesting prints in fabrics that feel divine and cut fabulously so generally speaking I tend to stay away from heavy embellishments, sequins etc. But I'm doing a 180 as I totally totally heart Katrina's outfit. As for Ms. Padukone between the fabric and the cut outs its probably the least body forgiving gown one can wear but what has she got to worry about with that fabulous body for hers! It's not the best colour for her as it makes her look ashy.

Joining the Birkin brigade is Ms.Padukone who carried her's to a 'Love Aaj Kal' promo event. Dressed down in a white shirt, jeans and loafers it seems her co-star Saif Ali Khan's style sense has rubbed off on her as the two looked very much in sync in their casual avatars. Spotted Vindoo's (Dara Singh's son who also starred in Kambhakt Ishq) lady friend at Akshay Kumar's birthday do sporting a shorter version of the Just Cavalli dress that was last seen on Deepika Padukone at the 'Love Aaj Kal' premiere. I love the dress in both styles, what about you?

In Just Cavalli

Deepika Padukone wore a pink leopard print gown to the Love Aaj Premiere in Gurgaon. She carries it off well. The gown priced quite reasonably at USD $995 for a Cavalli went on sale for a fab $348 at Neiman Marcus and not surprisingly sold out quick. Thanks 'fashionista' from 'Pinkvilla' for the ID.

Deepika Padukone sure does in the form of her Miu Miu 'Pirite' gladiator sandals that she's worn the second time round now on her promo tours for 'Love Aaj Kal'. Deepika again

Its seems like the only celeb that I've been covering the entire week is Deepika Padukone! Here's another one; I absolutely love this cute tunic teamed with leggings (not churidaar as I previously stated, thanks Monika) that she wore to the 'Love Aaj Kal' music launch. Summer perfect! Think its a Rina Dhaka creation as the print is very similar to a dress showcased in Rina's latest collection.

In Raakesh Agarvwal

Lakshmi Menon wore this Raakesh Agarvwal jumsuit in citus orange in the May edition of Vogue India and now Deepika Padukone rocks it in dusty pink at a Tissot event in Hyderabad. I think both ladies work this tricky garment with elan. The Vogue shot is fantastically taken and Deepika does complete justice to it in real life.

In Lvoe with Louis

I came across one of Deepika Padukone's photoshoots from a while ago where she's wearing the Louis Vuitton 'LVOE' tshirt teamed with the Nimbus bag in Ecru. The tee was immensely popular and was also seen on a number of celebrities including Sienna Miller featured on the right below.

A Gucci knock-off?

The latest Filmfare cover I love, Deepika's look at the issue unveiling event not so much! My first thoughts as soon as I saw the pictures was the similarity of her dress's print with the Gucci blue and white flora print that featured so heavily in the Design House's Resort 07 collection. Wonder if it is a Gucci knock-off that Deepika is wearing or perhaps another designer has been heavily inspired by Gucci ;)
