Ace stylist Anaita Adajania needs a style makeover pronto. Wearing what looks like an unflattering Gauri Nainika Rosette one shouldered top from the designer duo's latest collection with slashed jeans (again not the best of fits) Anaita's look seems like an attempt to embrace all the latest runway trends but falls flat as the look just isn't working for her. Calling Rachel Zoe to the rescue?

For the evening gown segment of the 09 Miss Universe pageant Ekta Chaudhary wore another Gauri-Nainika creation. The red gown is one-off creation that the designers have specially created for Ekta and has a mermaid silhoutte. Here's wishing Ekta the very best! Anoushka Shankar in Verve

The April issue of Verve magazine features Anoushka Shankar. In the inside spread she wears a Tarun Tahiliani dress which has previously been seen on model Nina Manuel.

On the cover Anoushka wears a Gauri Nainika maxi which has been covered by pinkvilla.

Donna Karan vs Gauri-Nainika

About a month ago I spotted a Giambattista Valli dress which had an uncanny resemblance to a Gauri-Nainika ensemble.

Here's another one - the bottom half of the Donna Karan dress that Molly Sims wore to the 'Fired Up' premiere in LA looks identical to this Fall08 Gauri-Nainika dress. Which designer's creation do you like more?

Giambattista Valli vs Gauri-Nainika

While trawling through one of my favourite celeb fashion blogs this morning I came across this one shouldered nude and black Giambattista Valli dress that Amy Adams wore to the Motion Pictures Awards Gala. It instantly reminded of this green and black creation of Gauri-Nainika's Spring 09 collection. Apart from the difference in the hemlines these dresses look almost the same. Wonder who copied whom!

Glittery affair

Update - Thanks Luna for sending through a full length shot of PZ's outfit. I love the colour on her !

Looked and looked but couldn't find a full length shot of PZ; attending the wedding of a politician's son. Bit hard to say whether Preity's traditional ensemble is a hit or a miss as we can't see it in full but I'm definitely liking the yellow and gold on her.

Also present at the event were designer duo Gauri & Nainika looking quite chic in their simple but elegantly draped sarees.

Gauri & Nainika - WLIFW Spring 09

Gauri & Nainika deliver yet another fab collection at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. The super talented designer duo also seem to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's fav Indian designers at the moment. Ash has recently been seen in many a G&N ensembles - the orange strapless gown from the collection is very similar to Ash's black gown at the Longines event and the blue striped gown that you can side ways in the last picture is the same as what Ash wore to the Drona premiere.
