On popular demand Sonam Kapoor tweeted the breakdown of her very chic outfit that she wore to the 'Triumph Lingerie Show'. The breakdown namely is an Alice + Olivia necklace tee, pants from Opening Ceremony, bag and shoes by Jimmy Choo. I love the pulled back hair and smokey eye makeup and bonus points for going jewellery-less so that the necklace tee can be the statement piece.

Chanel loving

Spotted Sonam Kapoor at Vipul Salvi's brunch at JW Marriott totting her oversized Chanel 2.55 which we have seen on her before. I'll swap the pic with a full length as soon as I find one as just like you I'm dying to see the entire outfit!

Part Gossip Girl and part Parisian Chic is how I would describe this look of Sonam Kapoor's. Totting a quilted Chanel, chic blue shorts and a crisp white shirt Sonam looks fab as usual. Can't wait to see more shots from the film!

In Stella McCartney

Sonam Kapoor opts for a Stella McCartney jumpsuit for her appearance on Farah Khan's TV show "Tere Mere Beach Mein". Whilst I'm yet to catch this episode of the show on air and couldn't find any full length shots but from what I see I really like. Especially the fact that Sonam chose some fresh makeup, casual hair and no accessories leaving all attention on the well cut garment.

On a separate but really exciting note, I have been exchanging tweets with Ms. Kapoor and she's been so nice to respond and share some of her favourite designers with me namely - Balmain (she already owns their statement jacket that I was hoping she did!), Alexander Wang, Christopher Kane, Thomas Wylde, Helmut Lang, Rag & Bone and Zero. Infact she was super nice to even visit my blog and said its "cool" which is of course oh so very cool! You can follow me on twitter here and catch me chatting about all things fashion.

Just a bit of tweet goss as I wait in anticipation for Sonam Kapoor's next public appearance. Ms. Kapoor tweets this morning saying she's at Dior for a fitting so yes we wait to see what she'll wear from the Dior stables...

Hadn't had a sighting of one of my favourite fashionistas aka Ms. Kapoor for a while and this runway appearance didn't disappoint. Sonam looks fantastic in this black strapless gown earning her a place in the chic files.

Grecian goddess

Sonam Kapoor as usual stands apart from the rest of the B'town brigade in this toga inspired dress that she teams with flat gladiator sandals and kundan jewellery on the IIFA Awards night. I love the fact that the dress looks so glam but comfortable at the same time. She obviously has a thing for asymmetrical one shouldered numbers as the black dress that she wore the day before and the Chanel she wore to the Filmfares had the same cut. Infact the hair on all three ocassions has been the same.

Chic in Black & Gold

Of all the celebs who walked the runway at the IIFA Fashion Extravaganza, Sonam Kapoor wearing Anamika Khanna was my favourite. Off the runway Sonam kept it chic in an asymmetrical black dress accessoried with a statement gold necklace and a cuff. I am not totally sold on her choice of footwear but overall it was a great look for her.

She's walked and worn the designer many a times before so it was no surprise to see Sonam Kapoor take to the runway at the IIFA'09 Fashion Extravaganza wearing an Anamika Khanna creation. In typical Anamika style the garment was a twist on the traditional lehenga, the blouse puffed out with Balmain-sque sleeves and the skirt featuring lace underskirts and a shortened hem at the front complete with a gold belt. The creation was also showcased at the 09 Lakme Fashion Week that of course Sonam Kapoor attended front row.

Doing bohemian chic

Update - Thanks 'Sunehri'! You have confirmed what I was thinking, it is a harem style jumpsuit that Sonam is wearing!

Whilst its not a dress I would wear, think Sonam Kapoor carries it off. More than the ensemble I love her fresh faced make-up and the hair. There have been times like this when her hair and make-up have aged her beyond her years but at the L'Oreal brunch she gets it right. She takes a risk and is probably the only one in Bollywood who doesn't conform to the stock standard which I love.

My latest purchase with an 'Indian' touch

For the first time in my life I'm trying to be good with my finances and taking baby steps to start saving, paying off credit cards etc aka things that all smart people do. Yes, it has taken me a while even though I've been in the banking industry for over 6 years now!

The exception to the above stated was my birthday last week and I decided to treat myself to this gorgeous Sass & Bide jacket with gorgeous metal beaded cuffs with my birthday money from my lovely sister and brother in law so I am all ready to brave the chilly Melbourne winter. S&B is one of my favourite Aussie brands and on the B-town scene Sonam Kapoor would so be suited to their designs. Amongst the Indian designers, Anamika Khanna shares a very similar design aesthetic to this popular Aussie designer duo.

Wearing Christian Dior on the latest issue of Elle and Jean Paul Gaultier on the current issue of Filmfare, Kareena Kapoor seems to be the flavour of the month for mag covers. Fashion at the elections

Even the scorching heat of Mumbai didn't deter fashionista Sonam Kapoor from putting her best fashion foot forward when stepping out to cast her vote. Sporting the red Rayban wayfarers which are also a favourite on the Hollywood circuit (check out Rachel Bilson below rocking them) Sonam teamed her black tights with flat gladiator sandals, a statement spotted scarf dress layered with a long cardigan.
